Ag Progress Days feature the latest technology and research exhibits, educational programs, and guided tours. Sponsored by Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences, the event celebrates the to be held at the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center at Rock Springs, nine miles southwest of State College, PA. It is one of only three agricultural exhibitions in the country sponsored by a major University. Our exhibits showcase the latest in Penn State research, as well as information on best management practices and changing regulations in the agricultural industry.
With 490+ exhibitors from 34 states and 4 provinces of Canada, we have something for everyone. Each year, farming families from across Pennsylvania and surrounding states attend this three-day event. Of the 46,000 expected attendees, over 60 percent are actively engaged in agriculture or related professions. Come and learn about the latest innovations in the agricultural industry and spend your day with Penn State Extension educators.
Ag Progress Days features include:
- 80+ acres for crops and machinery demonstrations
- 55 acres for indoor and outdoor exhibits
The Information Booth is located at the top of the hill on Main Street and West 10th Streets. Visit us for general show and program information. Free programs are available from this booth and boxes located around the grounds.
Medical Services/First Aid Station is located in the white farmhouse (Office) at Main and West 10th Streets. Emergency medical technicians and an ambulance are onsite during show hours.
- To access emergency assistance, dial 911 or contact security/staff personnel on the grounds.
- The nearest hospital is the Mount Nittany Medical Center, 1800 E. Park Ave., State College, PA 16801.
Disability Services: Golf carts, courtesy of Lancaster Farming, will be available behind the Information Booth, on a first-come, first-serve basis for two-hour increments to individuals with proof of medical assistance.
- T&B Medical will have a limited supply of scooter rentals available onsite at their booth location on West 9th and Main Streets. To make pre-reservations for Scooters please contact T & B Medical at 888-950-0900 or 814-466-8736.
Portable toilets and hand-washing stations are located throughout the grounds. A baby-changing table is located in the Special Events Building Restroom.
Lost-and-found items are kept at the Information Booth.
ATM is located in the Ag Choice Building at the corner of Main and West 6th Streets.
Recycling: Use the blue recycling containers throughout the grounds to support Penn State’s recycling efforts.
Rest Areas are located along Main Street.
Ag Progress Days T-Shirts and Merchandise Location: Visit the College Exhibits Building at West 10th and Main Streets to purchase a shirt and support the College of Ag Sciences Scholarship Fund.
*Pets are not permitted in University buildings or tents and will not be permitted at the show.
