Iron and Clay Cowpea Cover Crop Plant

Iron & Clay Cowpea

Iron & Clay Cow Peas protect soil from erosion, smother weeds, and produce 100-150 lbs. of nitrogen. They are drought and heat tolerant while being moderately shade tolerant and will grow on lower fertility soil. Originally used as a forage crop for cattle and sheep, Iron & Clay Cowpeas are now primarily used in deer food plots, and summer cover crop mixes.
