Cahaba Vetch Cover Crop Plant

Cahaba Vetch

Cahaba Vetch provides a means of supplying an excellent forage source in the eastern and southern parts of the US during summer months. It does not tolerate cold temperatures and will begin to die off around 20°F. As a summer legume, it can be used to follow wheat, bypass planting, to fix nitrogen, and provide a superior grazing or hay source.  An added benefit to your cover cropping program – Cahaba Vetch can assist in controlling some nematode species.
